Our corporate team delivers specialist services and our operational teams are led by our highly experienced site supervisors, who are fully accredited and closely mentored by leaders in the field. This mix of professional knowledge results in creative, multifaceted solutions for our clients.

Cameron Goldsmith

Managing Director

An integral member of the team since the company’s infancy, Cameron has over 25 years’ experience in the civil construction industry, resulting in the establishment of Goldsmith’s reputation as a highly specialised and sought after contractor for environmentally sensitive projects.

As Managing Director (MD) Cameron is primarily responsible for implementing company policy and any changes to it. As the aims of business are focused towards growth, profits and increasing shareholder return, it is his responsibility to ensure that the company strategy is geared towards this.

Stuart Curtis

General Manager Operations

With over 25 years’ experience in the civil construction industry, Stuart has driven the performance of Goldsmith from Regional Victoria into expanded service delivering, now including Metro centric areas and inter-State/Territory, without losing any of the original DNA of the company.

Stuart manages all logistical support for contracts including sub-contractors, plant/machinery, fleet and technical staff. Stuart’s co-ordination ensures deliverables are on time, within budget, against scope and to the highest standards.

Rob Suplitt

Project Director

Rob has worked in a variety of roles ranging from design to operational management, to project management. His early career was focused on mining infrastructure, later moving into the civil design and construction field, successfully managing large multi-million dollar projects.

Rob is now focused on growing the business through tailoring packages competitively to meet client’s needs. He achieves this by being highly productive, eliminating waste and negotiating fair outcomes for all stakeholders.

Ben Sibley

Project Director

Ben is a qualified Civil Engineer with 13 years’ experience in project management, estimating and surveying across land development, bulk earthworks, waste, water, road and rail projects.

Ben is responsible for all facets of project delivery. His passion for leading the team of project managers and engineers sees him display his strengths in leadership, financial control of projects, relationship-building with stakeholders and continuous risk management.

John Sweeney

ACT Contract Manager

With 35 years’ experience in the heavy earthmoving, road construction, quarry, landfill and mining industries, John leads our team in the ACT as the ACT Contract Manager.

In this role John oversees the continual operation of the West Belconnen Resource Management centre for ACT NoWaste including placement and covering of asbestos contaminated material, management of clean fill disposal, landfill cell construction and other ancillary activities to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Wayne Lynch

Project Supervisor

Wayne brings 15 years of civil contracting experience in the landfill construction, bulk earthworks and water sectors to the Goldsmith team. He has supervised contracts ranging from $1m to $23.3m in value for clients such as Places Victoria, Transpacific Cleanaway, Hanson and Melbourne Water.

As a Project Supervisor, Wayne is responsible for on-the-ground delivery of Goldsmith projects in a professional, safe and timely manner. He uses his strength in relationship management to work with our clients to understand their requirements and deliver quality outcomes.

James Sheldon

Project Engineer

James is a qualified civil engineer with 6 years’ experience in civil construction. He is an earthworks and geosynthetics specialist with a drive to achieve quality outcomes.

As a Project Engineer, James is competent managing large packages of work including suppliers and subcontractors. He is a clear communicator, a strong leader, and is very focused on quality and health & safety whilst ensuring projects under his control are delivered on time, on budget and to client expectations.

Paul Theocharous

HSEQ Advisor

Paul has over 6 years’ experience working in the building and construction industry, in varying
project management and safety related roles.

As HSEQ Advisor, Paul uses a systematic approach to maintaining Goldsmith’s project records, to ensure compliance with the company’s ISO 9001 Quality, AS/NZS4801 Safety and ISO 14001 environmental management system accreditations. Using his construction risk management experience as well as strong understanding in WHS design issues, Paul drives and communicates all HSEQ procedures to staff and subcontractors, to ensure successful project delivery.

Corey Felmingham

Project Supervisor

Corey has over 13 years’ experience in the earthmoving field, particularly in water retention projects involving bulk earthworks, clay liners, pipelines and GCL and geomembrane installations. He has worked on multiple projects for East Gippsland Water, Melbourne Water and the City of Greater Geelong.

As a Project Supervisor, Corey is responsible for coordinating on‐site teams to deliver the relevant scopes of work in accordance with project plans and specifications. He creates detailed short‐term programs and schedules to achieve effective personnel performances, which ensures project completion within designated timeframe and budget.

Belinda Kirkham

Accounts & Admin

Belinda has worked with Goldsmith for over 12 years in her role of Office Administrator, managing accounts and HR/Payroll services. Belinda’s high-level attention to detail ensures the administrative functions of the business run efficiently and accurately.

Belinda is passionate about people and service, which guarantees excellence in dealings with both internal and external communications. Belinda’s dedication to training and development also supports Goldsmith’s strong safety culture.

Raelene Hodges

Accountant

Raelene holds a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accountancy and is currently studying her CPA. She has over 15 years’ experience in financial and business analysis, having previously worked for a large banking organisation and business consultancy firm.

Raelene joined the business just over two years ago and has a passion for project financial reporting and cost control. She manages the finances and cash flow for all entities within the Goldsmith Group.
